Pintrest Board: https://www.pinterest.com/aanchondo69/educational/
This weeks subject on Pintrest was one that I was a little familiar, I have had experience with Pintrest in the past and already had a Pintrest account. When I started with Pintrest, I really had no idea what it's purpose was, until I started looking into it and getting my hands dirty as they say. With the readings now, I realize that there is much more to Pintrest than I thought. I like how the readings call Pintrest the crazy human indexing machine, which allows you to get anything you are interested in or want with a touch of a finger. I have come up with three ideas for using Pintrest in my 5th and 6th grade Science classrooms, which I feel will be a great benefit for my students and I. One of them will include having students create a Pintrest account and pin things they like and are interested with, this will allow us to get to know each other a little better. Students will then be advised to create boards according to the lesson that we are working on at the time, in which they can share and collaborate with each other. The third idea I have in mind is having my students then share and get ideas on pins with other classes at our school and other schools throughout the country.
Hello Alexander,
ReplyDeleteAs I have read couple of my classmates reflections and now reading yours we have a lot in common in the sense that we discovered more about pinterest. From the bloggs it is evident we thought pinterest was more of a place to come and look for decorations or ideas about common things such as parties, decorations and stuff of that nature. I opened an account a while back ago but just like you did not really saw this website as a resource for education. The primary reason I would come to pinterest was for decoration ideas but never did I considered it as an educational tool. I am glad that with this project I now have found all the wealth of ideas to implement in the classroom. Thank you for your sharing
